More and more, banks are unleashing the power of video. Now widely regarded as the most effective way for marketers to tell their stories, video is a mainline to the hearts and minds of customers. There are two rounds of voting:

    1. All entries are judged by a panel of bank marketing experts
    2. 24 top-scoring entries are posted for public voting

Scores are compiled to determine winners in each asset category. And the video within that receives the highest combined score in the two rounds of voting will be declared “Best in Show.”

Winners will be announced at the ABA Bank Marketing Conference in New Orleans on September 25. Winners don’t have to be present to win – but wouldn’t you want to be?

Don’t have a video to enter?

You can still participate. Once our judges determine the finalists, you can take part in the public voting for your favorite entry. And join us at the ABA Bank Marketing Conference to see who takes home the top prizes.

It’s simple to enter. Just complete the form below.

You’re qualified to enter if you’re currently, or even just eligible to be, a bank member or service member of ABA and you’re located in the United States or U.S. Territories. (Sorry, no credit unions or individuals.)

Video submissions should be relevant and support the marketing message of the financial institution. They must also be:

  • In English
  • No more than 2 minutes in length
  • Produced between January 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017
  • The entrant’s original work or owned work (in the case of a “work-for-hire” video created by an advertising or similar agency).

Each submission is made in one of four categories based on asset size:

  • Under $500 million
  • $500 million – $1 billion
  • $1 billion – $5 billion
  • Over $5 billion


April 3 – May 24 Submit your entries
June 12 – July 7 Judges review entries
July 10 – July 31 Open voting on Finalists
September 25 Awards presented at a ceremony at the ABA Bank Marketing Conference

What happens next?

You will receive an email confirming your entry has been accepted. Please allow up to 48 hours for the confirmation to arrive.

Videos will be judged by a panel of bank marketing experts staff based on:

  • Production value (20%)
  • Creativity (50%)
  • Message (30%)
