How many of your biggest ideas have actually come to fruition? If you’re like most of us, the answer to that question is, “Not enough.”

Don’t blame your ideas. The daily grind does more to inhibit breakthrough progress than any other single factor. You might call it “putting out fires,” “herding cats,” or “making the doughnuts.”

Scott Belsky calls it struggling with “the gravitational force of operations.”

In other words, your to-do list is preventing you from getting stuff done. Banking is a particularly tough field for this dilemma.
